The SRAM Red is very nice. As good as DA and Record. Shifts fast and smooth and is amongst the lightest out there.
Billy,
My bike club every year does training rides starting in January for the "Ride around the Bear Century" which is in June. The Bear training ride on May 17th. is the dreaded Palomar Mountain, 5000 ft. of climbing. This will be my first time up Palomar.

I unfortunately missed all of the Tour of California this year.

A friend of mine just built-up his Cervelo R3 with SRAM Red and Zipp 303's and he's hard to keep up with. Maybe I just need a set of Zipps. Hard to believe that two bike wheels cost more than a full set of custom wheels and tires for the VX.

Talking about center pulls. I have a restored set of 1992 Campy Record Delta Brakes off my first road bike.
