    ken's automotive in aurora, co.

he's who did my motor rebuild and did a GREAT job...he has a mechanic working for him that worked for isuzu for 10+ years and knows more about the VX than any other mechanic i have ever talked to...since i did my motor rebuild i havent lost a DROP of motor oil which is amazing for a VX motor...just a note to his great workmanship. and they are fairly reasonable

ill try to get a number for ya

    Dealers a rip-off?

I knew I needed to find someone else when the local dealer (Tynan Isuzu) told me they charge $125 just to read the "Check Engine" code! When I said it takes less than five minutes to do, and that most auto parts stores don't charge anything, he started giving me a load a crap about how only Isuzu dealers have the right equipment, etc.
Funny thing is the dealer where I used to live in Montana would have checked the code for free. Some good dealers are honest and fair; but many more are a big rip-off.

    yup...

you would think toyota has great customer service right?

my girlfriend has an 07 corolla and he trunk release mechanism corroded shut...so we went to a toyota dealer because it would not open and we needed to get our luggage out of the trunk on a road trip...they tried to charge us like $300 to fix the trunk... i was like, uh no! thats definately a manufacturer defect..anyhow, ended up in a large argument...

How about this dealer rip-off? There's a 2000 Ironman VX listed on craigslist for the low, low price of $70,000!! I'm dubious about the "Heater Seats", too...

    Mechanic in Denver area?

Can anyone recommend any other mechanic's in Denver/Aurora area?
Unfortunately Ken's Auto Service does not install owner supplied parts.
I just need to have a couple of O2 sensors (already have them) replaced and a few minor things, nothing major. Any suggestions appreciated.
    Thanks a lot.
