    Broken Window Cable

Well, I've been bitten by the window bug yet again...

It seems I've managed to break the cable that moves the window up and down...does anyone know if the cable can be replaced, or if I need to order a window regulator?

You can't order just the cable as a replacement part, only the entire regulator (about $80 bucks from IsuzuParts or Merlin). That said, depending on your mechanical inclination maybe you could buy your own cable at a hardware store and retrofit???

Merlin is shipping me a complete regulator right now ($84)....

As far as I can tell...I will only need the window "lift arm"....

...so I may have a spare cable.

I'll let you know as soon as it arrives and I fit it ( 3-4 days )....

If I dont need the cable...Its yours.

Hey ojmagg......good news ...got a cable for ya , if ya want it!

This is the used regulator , less the window lift bar , that came out of my VX today.

You can use this whole part to fix your broken cable problem.Simply put your lift bar onto this cable set up.
Its seems to be in 100% working condition , I only replaced it cause I needed a new "lift bar" , so I simply put in the whole new unit I got from Merlin.

I figure its worth $50 plus shipping (any less and I'll keep it as a spare for me!)...that'll save you $35

    Are you interested?

Hi jo, I am in need of this assembly for my driver side window. My cable is freyed but hasn't snapped yet. Will yours work for the drivers side? Do you still have it? If so, how much shipped to 96734?

How easy to swap em? It looks like it would be a pain trying to bolt it up inside the door.

    Thanks
