    Fixing Deformed Window Rubber.....

The Astral Vx had badly deformed window rubber when we got it.

Took a paint stir stick , slotted in the channel (it bends to fit)...

...and wedged it with two cut off bits from same stick.

Rubber was then gently heated with Heat Gun and allowed to cool.

Seems to work quite well...the rubber has returned to almost perfect....

...and I think will get even better now it seats correctly against the glass.

Thought I'd share as I've seen a few peeople talk about screwed up window rubber.

    It was November-ish last year.

Purchased from a site member in Atlanta with a blown Tranny...

Couldnt resist!..The price was right , so it was a question of either fixing it ..

...or simply use it for spares for the ORW , if it was really FUBAR.

It was a fixer!...and I hope to build it up for the wife to wheel....when the $$$'s flow again!
