OK, checking in again. Had to make a delivery recently so I threw the hitch back on the VX and hit the road. (The U-Haul is a 6'x12' enclosed trailer.) The wheels are of course the all too common 18"x8" Borbet CW3 with 265/60-18 Yokohama Geolander ATS's that have since been removed and stored in exchange for the summer 20" Boss wheels seen above.

Still super shiny, even with the cel cam. What do you use on that thing? Do you apply by hand or by machine.
Just picked up a Turtle Wax "Black Box" http://www.turtlewaxblackbox.com/ this past weekend and I'll use it this weekend to get the VX ready for Moab. Can't wait to see how it turns out.

Still the same process. Clearcoat polish applied with a $25 slow-speed 6" orbital buffer with a soft sponge pad, then hand-applied wax removed with microfiber polishing cloths.Originally Posted by MSHardeman
I'm starting to think I just got lucky awhile back with a great 3M product. The clearcoat polish has always been the part of the process that has made the most difference.
