    vxstickers-
whats with the white tubes going into it? breathers? water drainage?

whats with the FBI?? is that to direct some of the fresh air straight to your intake??

did you mount and do the glassing yourself??

    Hi pbkid,
You are correct the tubes are for draining any water from up in the scoop. F.B.I. is just a name I gave the system. It stands for Free Breathe Intake. I bought the scoop (below) from racecomposites for $80.00. I did fiberglass, sand & prep it myself. I had maaco paint it for $100.00.

ya i was looking at carbon creations last night...they have a carbon fiber one for $100, thinking of glassing that in and going some custom paint to leave the carbon showing on the scoop, with the hood black...

thanks for tryin that out, ive been wondering how one of those would look on a VX, now that i see it i like it.

They do look better molded on. At first I had it bolted on and fitted well but it still looked like it was just sitting there. If you decide to make it functional let me know and I'll tell you what I did and how. I've driven in the rain several times now with nothing more than a drop or two in the engine compartment. I'm also just about through my first full tank of gas and seem to have gotton a little better milage.

Ray that hood scoop is bad ***! The STi scoop is sharp too, but I agree that the bigger size looks great, especially on a lifted VX.

You know if you had the time to reproduce your set-up I bet you could find buyers... (hint hint)

    Thanks maverick,
I wish I had time to make more of these. It took me 2 weeks because I could only spend a little time each day to work on it. It really isn't to hard so I'd encourage people to go for it. Again I'd be glad to help anyone through the project if they need help.

ya i think i might go look at it in person soon so i can decide whether i wanna lift or no, i mean we all know that i am half lifted already with the front torsion bars cranked already and some cheap spacers in the back springs.
