Good Option For Roof Rack Pads Here!

Just got in a nice set of roof rack pads from www.surfboardsetc.com - they're Dakine Long Aero Roof Pads - Black; #1-8840-302-29. $41.44 to my doorstep! They fit alittle snug; you gotta tug pretty hard on 'em to get good velcro contact, but they DO fit. 28" long, so they leave 1-2" on each side of the rack, but the shape looks like an extension of the rack itself. Also, I think that the "Dakine" lettering which is on both sides of each pad could be removed with a judicious application of Brake Kleen or the like, leaving them jet black and even MORE "stock-appearing". Just thought I'd give you all the "heads-up"...

Thanks for the heads up Ganz, was thinking about doing this myself this summer, but was wondering if the air moving over the nylon would whistle at speed. Experience?
