    The hardest mod I have done yet.....

    Okay, so the grand total of stuff that I have done to my VX since I have owned it (almost 2 months) is...

    Mounted mini-maglite to ash tray drawer (makes for a nice pull handle too)
    Mounted Big maglite to the jack compartment lid in the rear
    Adjusted Torsion bar to level out VX so it isnt headed towards outerspace anymore
    Trimmed front cladding after torsion bar adjustment
    Added new HD tie rods because the OEM ones were siezed in the toed out position
    Added new front and rear greasable sway bar bushings to fix bed spring squeak
    Lubed U-joints and yoke
    Had ALL fluids replaced with Synthetic where applicable
    Replaced Serpentine belt
    Installed new Bosch Icon wipers

    And the hardest mod yet (not that the others were hard) was.......
    REPLACING THE FRIGGIN HEADLIGHT BULBS!!!!(and driving light bulbs)

    Holy Crapoly. It was like a rubix cube trying to get that done. After about 30 minutes of trying, I decided to be smart and come check the "how-to" section of the forum.

    Next up....
    New Timing belt
    New tires - BFG All-Terrains
    New Muffler (get rid of that stupid PV2)
    Locate annoying rattle
    Add tow hitch

    Almost done.......The addiction stops soon right?:_drool:

    I totally agree with you on the headlight replacement. You have to have some kind of degree in molecular physics and be double jointed in a couple of places to get those suckers out.

    headlights

    When I replaced mine it took me about 10 minutes to do the passenger side and about an hour to contort my arm around enough to do the driver's side. I felt like I needed another elbow to get the job done. I hindsight I should have just taken the airbox out.

    How hard was it to change the sway bar bushings? I think I have the same bed spring squeek problem.

    just a tip for anyone doing this...take the time to take the front bumper off and take the headlights completely off the car...makes it a 10 minute job, and you dont have to hurt your arm

    I almost went that route. Especially before I figured out how to remove the driving lights, but I was concerned about all that double side tape business I keep hearing about. Is there anything besides screws holding that front section on?

    x2, it's WAY easier to just remove the headlights...

    Sway bar bushings were relatively easy to install. The only tricky part is getting the rubber piece to go over/around the sway bar. But other than that it was just an unbolt and rebolt if I remember correctly.

    Great. My other ride is a saab 9-2x aero, so in order to get the wrx rounded, the sides of the front of the car were behind the radiator. In order to change those bulbs, you have to remove the battery & the airbox to reveal access to those headlamps.

    Removing the air box is the easiest.
