    Aftermarket seats...Options

OK I've tried searching around but couldn't find out anything. My drivers seat has a bad lean to it. I've considered replacing with another stock seat but what if it happens again? Anybody know of any direct bolt in replacements for seats? Maybe out of an axiom or rodeo/amigo or something? Or even aftermarket options? I recently took the vx on an all day wheeling trip to some sand dunes and my back was killing me afterwards. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Go to your local “Pick and Pull” and see if you can find one of these laying around.

    It could happen!

I thought that the Saturn Vue Redline had our seats too.

Did we ever find out if you can switch the seats? Take the base off or whatever so they will still move.

Scott, do you mean swap the passenger's with the driver's? That would be a good idea. It would definitely take some of the stress off the left side of the driver's seat for a while. I dunno though, I have had really good luck with my seats. But I also vacuum and condition them regularly.

    Scott,

I tried to give the seat switch a shot before Moab, but I could NOT figure out how to get the access mechanism off of the passenger seat. It looks like the cable that connects to the back of the passenger seat is attached to a little tab that is welded onto the seat and that tab is absent on the driver seat. It's easy enough to just unbolt the seats and swap them but then the slide adjuster is near the transmission hump instead of on the door side, and then the driver side seat would be the access to the rear and not the passenger.

Maybe someone else has had more success.

That sounds promising. As long as you can still move them!
Nobody is ever getting in the back anyway.

Though these seats are the same, will the brackets at the bottom fit? After replacing mine it seems like the fitment brackets make all the difference- not the style of the seat. There used to be a company called Saleco.com (or something like that) that made reasonably priced custom seats but I never inquired about fitting.

I don’t know? It looks like they’re all based off the Recaro Trend series seats. But more then likely you’d need to replace the seat brackets with the ones on the VX seats to get them to fix.
