I went up to Show Low, Az. for the weekend to do the DeuceMan 1/2 Ironman. I had a great race finishing 15th overall and winning the 45-49 agegroup. I finished in 4:47 which was a personal best for that course by 29 minutes!
But wait...theres more!
They have this HUGE raffle with $30,000 worth of prizes. I bought $20 worth of tickets (7 tickets) plus I got 1 with my entry. The proceeds all went to local school sports programs and the Challenged Athlete Foundation, so my money went to a good cause even if I went hime empty handed. But luck was not having any of that "empty handed" business. I won a set of wheels (for you bike guys Mavic Kysium SL's) worth $1000 and then a few minutes later they called another of my numbers and I won a Kuota K Factor bike frame/fork worth $2000!!!!!
Everyone told me I should run to the nearest store and buy a lotto ticket...I figured I would quite while I was ahead!
