LOL, that's a home-made injector tester for diesel injectors. I made one from that photo and it looks similar, but for about $45 in parts (over $200 to buy) you can rebuild and balance your own injectors at home which is pretty much impossible for a gasser.
Over 20 years of Isuzu enjoyment...
