    Nice New Nittos

I got new Nitto Terra Grapplers on the VX today. I went with the 285/60/18. I replaced the Yokahama tires size 255/55/18. I read the forum for two months before deciding on the Nittos. The ride difference is incredible. It is much smoother. And the VX looks so much better. I had to cut a little cladding but didn't have to adjust the torsion bars. These tires are very nice and I'm glad I selected them. Can't wait for the Outer Banks beach.

I'm sure they'll look as awesome as Pepino's do. They are a really good lookin' tire! I was sooooooo tempted to get those, but I'm still real happy with the Cooper's. Post some pics!!!!

VX-KAT--- Come on now, don't be so modest. Everybody already knows your Cooper Zeon LTZ tires totally rule when it comes to the 285/60R18 size!!!

I didn't want to sound crazy but there is a better acceleration. I just figured I was so pleased with the tires that I was imagining. And man do they fill up that wheel well.

Where did you pick up the tires? Did you order them through a website? And where are you having them installed? I've been looking at this tire also, but wasn't sure where to get it mounted in "the 757".

We REALLY need to put together a VX OBX run (that would make a great t-shirt logo too). I haven't had a chance to get down there yet this year, but going offroad on the beach and through the dunes is a blast!

I was just looking for new Nittos myself a few days ago. It appears that in the 303 you pick them up at Big-O or Discount Tire Co. I haven't been to either of those places myself, though, so I can't speak of them. At the very least, I didn't see any Nittos at TireRack.com.

Hey Maverick, I got my tires installed by a friend at a shop in Great Bridge. We do need to plan a trip. I love it down there

MDWYER- big o all the way! thats where i do ALL of my tire work....on both of my cars...both winter and summer tires...

little rough around the edges at first, but they will take care of you once they see you a few times...

i suggest going in a few times and shopping the different salesman, some of them will help you get the tires for a more reasonable price (depending on who they are)

Last time I got tires on the Subaru, I went to Meadow Creek Tire near downtown Denver. If I understand right, they are distributers for other dealers around town. So, they're able to give you a pretty good deal. It feels a little strange going in there, because they're only barely set up to do direct sales, but otherwise, it was quick and easy. I'm not sure if they do Nittos, though. I think I'll be shelling out for new VX tires at the end of the season.
