Wrench Shock Replacement - Bilstein direct replacement?

I know many of you have replaced stock shocks with aftermarket due to price of OEM Gas Shocks and I am planning to do same with a pair of Bilstein B46-1738-H1, but my question is simply, are they a direct replacement or have any mods to be done to accommodate them?

    Direct replacement

I installed Bilstein B46-1738-H1's on the front, and B46-1739-H1's on the rear. They went on without any modifications. The ride is very close to stock (slightly softer).
