So now you have 2 Army trucks and the original one is going to be the donor truck?

Give me a warning and I'll drive down next time... maybe you could head norht towards the corner of Nevada and Oregon.
Yeah, that area I would like to check out more. I have been up around Gerlach and the Black Rock Desert but never all the way up towards the Oregon border.

The majority of the week was spent in the Jarbidge area (2 hours north of Elko). We also did a 2 day trip out to the Berlin Ichthyosaur State Park (about 2.5 hours east of Reno near Gabbs, NV). There are some more photos contained in the last 7 posts here.

I hear ya. I badly want to do the 3.4 swap. That crawler Troop is a BEAST. I actually thought a little about hacking the back off like that and doing a rag top back there that angles down, but now seeing it, I think I like the full box better. Plus, I just LOVE the roof rack. The thing is HUGE.

Yeah, it was mainly acquired on 2 different trails. There was a lake we wanted to check out, and the only trail that appeared to take us down to the lake was severely overgrown. That was the beginning. We never made it down to the lake on that trail (ended up hiking down later) due to a massive tree that had fallen and blocked the trail. The next day we took a trail that lead us north along the Bruneau River. The trail was easily one of the coolest trails I have ever been on. Just loads of awesome scenery. But, there were several sections of the trail that dipped down right next to the river. Down by the river there were lots of trees and loads of brush, all of which were completely overgrown. In one spot I could barely see the trail. That's how much overhang there was. I just plowed through.
