Maybe Moncha is O3 (Out Of Office) right now so can't update status.
Don't get yer panties in a bunch over what Ldub said. Nobody takes Ldub seriously 'round here ... God bless his little heart. We just post a few dancing bananas every so often ... that seems to keep him happy.

Put a smiley after you say that Bub.
Just picked it up, the mechanic said it went smoothly, and I have to say, it sounds great! Not at all what I'd consider "loud," and it has a very nice grumble/gurgle sound. Very nice...
The final totals, including tax: $43 for the muffler, and $161 for installation, so just slightly over $200!
I'm pleased, and grateful. Thanks, everyone!
Yesterday I got the Dynomax Super Turbo 17747 from Amazon.com based on this thread's advice and I like it. It's nice and quiet at rest and maybe a little too loud and raspy at full throttle but if it quiets down a little it'll be fine. Thanks for the vx.info!
Canadian VXer!
Got too tired of to many references to Midas, Pep Boys, NAPA, etc.... You have a VX so find a specialty shop in your area with knowledge and respect by referral and they'll fix u up. Got mine for $89 out the door at Discount Muffler in Spokane if you happen to be in the area. Otherwise don't assume your brand name FAST FOOD DRIVE THROUGH shops got your back. They don't rely on word of mouth and they don't know your VX. Guess I'm just pissed with a grounded VX but it's worth the effort.
Hi krono !
If you're refering about my VX well the current mufflers was a experiment, though i could try with regular mufflers first, now i'm convinced the dynomax are the way to go.
The shop i deal with is belongs to a former isuzu engine specialist & good friend (can't be better) plus he used to own one of 1rst 15 VehiCROSS imported into the US back in 1998 (ironman) i guess i'm very lucky to have him located just 2 miles away from my house .
