    Wrench Got My Hubs On

Fitted my manual locking hubs, no CV boot wear for me

I got these ones caus i thought they were a matt colour. Turns out there chrome so i think i'll paint them black as they dont suit the car at the moment.

Claire got me to pose for a photo when i took pics of the hubs this morning so here's me too !!

I dunno...they seem to match your lug nuts well enough...

Ya scrub up pretty good there fella!...

Now HERE'S something to worry about...even though there is no rotation, your outer cv boots are still stretching & flexing, every time you turn the steering wheel...

CROTCHROCKET--- I concur with Ldub. The new hubs match the lug nuts. I say leave them as they are. Besides if you paint them black and they get scuffed up off-road and paint-chipped, then they'll really look crappy.

I suppose you could reduce the amount of chromieness by putting a wrap or two of electricians tape on em'.

Kind of a red neck solution, I know, but if they get gank'd on the trail, it's easy to fix.

    Talking

On the topic of hub colors, I never understood why people always paint their Aisin hubs red and black. I scored a set from Pick & Pull and I painted them all black. I then took my Dremel and with the soft pad I removed the paint from the raised letters so you can read the hubs easily. It looks much better than random red and black. (and I am talking about the hubs for my Trooper, btw)

PS - That's a nice looking belt you got there, CR...
