    could I do better

I'm new to this VX thing so I wanted to ask you guys(& Gals) if you think I scored or could find better for the price.
I took me one week to find her and I fell In love, during the test drive all went well, felt different than other 4x4s I've owned in the past, the windows work great, ac is ice cold, everything works great, she has an aftermarket sound system 1 speaker in the rear is blown though, small spit in the door panel on the driver side(by lock), oil was just changed mobil 1, brake fluid looks new, other fluids unshure when changed, after market 18in wheels with new dune grappler tires, 3 inch calmini lift, no ball joint spacers, and inner cv boots are totaly split, both sides, needs timing belt soon and brake pads has locking hubs too..
just under 93k on the clock all for 7500.00 here are some pics

I'm having some trouble finding anything else (lower miles ect.)for 8k
what do you think i'm picky

    You could but... it

looks good to me. I think you could get a better deal but it might not be in your area or have the lift/oversized tires. I just bought a lifted 99 ironman with 107,000 and new wheels/tires for $5,000. I sold the aftermarket wheels (came with the stock wheels too) for $600. You could say I bought it for $4,400 ... but i'm buying more expensive wheels soon to replace the other ones.

    ANYWAYS,

After looking for about a month, I saw a broad range of prices and $7500 was the median price for one in that condition. If you don't mind waiting a while or buying one far away (like on ebay), then you may get a lower price but its no guarantee. If it feels solid, I would buy it. AND Its more fun owning one than not

It may not be the deal of a lifetime but it's also not a bad deal. My vote is to go fer it.

BTW, the CV boot replacement is something you can do yourself for about $100.

    thank you

I do promise to fix the boots first, 4x has a high angle kit for around 140.00 does all 4.
the timing belt replacment has me worried though $$$ I figured aprox. 800.00 to replace everything in there..me doing the work. maybe I don't have to replace everything
and what is with the Iron man thing? is it the color, the name, or are they just more muscle bound than the rest.

Nope. You unknowingly signed yourself up for a Triathlon. Way to go.

That's why I got an ebony. That, and it looks awesome-o.

Personally, with both CV boots split and the other few issues, I think $7500 is too much. Its not bad, but I would rather spend that kinda money on a slightly lower mileage VX with NO MODS. Personally (and I broke my own rule with my Trooper) I would stay away from pre-modded vehicles simply because you don't really know what was done.

With $8000 to spend, and a little patience and willingness to travel, I bet you could find a real peach of a VX for that kinda money.

All that said, if you do take the plunge on this VX, I would say you should know that doing the CV boots yourself is doable, but very messy and a little time consuming. If you decide to take it somewhere to get the boots fixed, get ready to pay.

Otherwise, this VX does look nice! Good luck.

I think you are making a wise choice, just make sure all the options are explored and then decide. I'm not saying all pre-modded vehicles are bad, but it does mean that you will never know exactly what was done and what the quality of the work was like.

    Keep us posted!

    Nope

It would take more than VX s are going for now to get me to part with it. I bought it new over 7 years ago and still get a kick out of driving it and I still get looks and people asking if it is a new vehicle. Its great driving a car you love and not having any car payments.
