I had Wife 1.0 running happily for over 10 years, and a couple child processes concurrently. However, changes in the operating system caused Wife 1.0 to become sluggish, and consume huge amounts of all resources (my memory is shot now), so I uninstalled Wife 1.0 about 12 years ago. One of the child processes, and a newly developing grand-child process, followed the Wife 1.0 bus.
After 10 years, I think I finally got child process 2.0 running on it's own processor, but child process 1.0, and a second grand-child process (still in development mode), have been popping up on the screen lately, and threatening to assimilate into my otherwise stable environment.
I bought this machine for single-player gaming and social networking, not SIMS and beta testing. McAfee seems to have no power to prevent these viruses and spybots from invading my personal space. D'OH!!!
