    kelly flats camping trip 09

alright, here are some pics from the camping trip, sorry the other guys have more since mine were taken from my phone. but here are some teasers for those that missed the trip......... VXORADO! MONCHA! MSHARDEMAN! MDWYER!

everyone else there was rockin a jeep, and ALL of them had lockers front and rear..... and stitch kept up with no problems (while they were having issues too!)

some nice views at the top of the trail, and some creekside from our camp site

this is my best friend's 78 jeep.... dana 44, and detroit 20 axles, with locking atlas transmission..... its a beast!
oh, and it has a V8

at the top of the trail we found a boulder to test out articulation...
he was at 34 degrees sideways

Too many jeeps for my taste....

J/K, looks like you were in a well equiped crew and thats some sweet articulation on that CJ. I had a very similar YJ, my major complaint was the leaf springs. Sure they are really durable but the ride (at least on mine) was painfully rough. I'll take less articulaton for a smoother ride anyday... but thats just me.

Thanks for posting pics Jack, I will try to make the next trip

I had no idea you had a name for your VX - Stitch is a good one for yours! Did you air down? It looks like the Jeep is rolling on full pressure.

oh, and it has a V8 OK, you know me and how I am... the rear is a Corp 20 if it is stock, not a detroit. It prob'ly has a Detroit locker in the diff tho. Locking Atlas trans... no such thing. Atlas t-case, perhaps?

But really, why I wanted to comment is because of the timing of the pic... You can tell that guy in this photo HATES Jeeps... he even spits at the sight of them!
