I'll take it.
Why on earth would somebody do this?
On the other hand, maybe Marlin can use the pics for inspiration when designing a future roll cage / exoskeleton.
a piece of crap. That is a cash for clunker if ever I saw one
The owner also has an Isuzu Axiom set up pretty much the same way. We saw it on Poison Spider this year in Moab. The vehicle is built and capable! Plus you can carry the whole family and enjoy the AC! Might not be the most beautiful rig out there but it works! There is info out there on both vehicles and several videos on youtube if you search.

cant say its the prettiest thing around, or that i would do the same with a forester
but it IS capable... and definately has some POWER!!! oh and the AC is supposed to work well, thats what i was told from the owner of the sale lot (agreed with billy)
It is actually called TaraHtelka (?????????? in Russian, noun from the verb ????????? - rattle, rumble; clatter) Their second car is Urchalka (???????, noun from the verb ?????? - rumble). The names comes from the sound it produce while moving: tarahtelka should be more loud due to the diesel engine while urchalka is almost like a cat's purr
PS: Oops, no Russian lettering is allowed anymore

PEANUT BUTTER KID--- Hmmm, interesting thread. It seems the P.O. has dumped a whole bunch of money in mod's in that Forester. I didn't see an actual "price" on the window sticker (I guess they want people to call first). I only thing I would worry about is reliability, since it is heavily modded. The bad thing for the new owner is if it ever breaks down, then they have to track down the symtoms as they are not the original mod'er and have no inherit history of how each mod was accomplished/built. Still; it looks very capable, but could be a maintenance nightmare. Thanx for sharing.
Hmmm... I'm in the market for a new Subaru...
ya, if i remember correctly it was 25-30k....
Wasn't the axiom posted up previously? If it's the one i'm thinking of (how many could there be?) then i definitely like the axiom better. Not just cuz its an Isuzu but it doesn't look quite as butch. Hmmmm time to start the exo cage project? Anyone? .......
