    interesting army vehicle

    check out this baby i found at the local gas station.
    fully amphibious...
    everything worked on it, the guy who i talked to said that he spend over 10 years restoring it and uses it both on land and in water....

    pretty cool, definately never seen one of those on the road!

    Yep, when I was growing up in Okla. we had a place on Lake Texoma. Some guy had one of those (i think they called it a Duck). Anyway he would drive down the boat ramp into the water and tool around. As I recall he couldn't take very much in the way of rough water though.
    So I said to myself, I said "Handee"
    and this voice came back and said..
    "He's not in, may we take a message?"

    Just ducky tours

    Here in Pittsburgh they have a fleet of slightly larger amphibious vehicles that are used to give tours of the city and the surrounding 3 rivers. I haven't been on one...yet.

    Yup, that's a DUCK as far as I can tell. I used to take "DUCK rides" at Wisconsin Dells all the time when I was a kid.

    they used them in the last indi-jones movie...know as the Ford GPA..the bigger one is the DUCK by GMC

    and the part behind the headlights.. flips over to make a bow break for water not to get over the front....
