Alaska meet!

Well I met up with gruven this weekend, we only talked for about 2 hours or so but it was fun. We had a bunch of people asking what it was when we were sitting out in front of the bar, which was comedy since I just told gruven, "you tell them about it" hahaha. Well I guess he does a lot of trips up here and we will be getting together again in late September, for some camping right before we get some snow. It was funny on how we met, I was in the bar looking around for someone I saw one picture of, and my brother was sitting outside next to the car. Gruven found the VX and asked my brother if he owned it and he was like "no, my brother does and he's in the bar looking for you" gruven asked "whats he look like?" my brother responded "Just like you with a bigger beard!" He found me in the bar pretty quick after that. If you see the pic, he does look like me (damn hippys) LOL!My brother now says my VX is a hippy ride and all the hippys must own one, or want one. Well Tom, it was great meeting you, looking foreward to some drinking/camping in a couple months. I'm lucky I didn't get there earlier, and get some drinks in me, since I had a cop follow me all the way back to my property.

Well the gods must have known how much fun I had as I have been beyond slammed since my return....
Alan, it was truly an honor and a blast to meet you and your new SC. And yes, your PV is much quiter than mine-maybe someday a SC will help tame mine!....
Even though we only had a couple hours I feel as though I have another friend in the great white north! Only 4-5 hrs. of darkness and we picked then for our 'group photo'. Yup- two long hairs w/a VX
Enjoyed some of my salmon last night- nothing like them- can't ever eat farm raised again...
Sorry we didn't have more time to hang, but I'll be back up 4 weeks today.

Sent you a PM the same time you wrote this, I guess you answered all my questions. Nice lookin fish! That one was mine, but he got away pretty sad when a lower 48er comes up and shows me up!
