hey guys, started replacing my brakes last night and i found that i dont have the correct size wrench to get the calipers off.... does anyone know what size those two bolts are that hold the caliper to the swing-arm?
i dont really wanna buy a whole 'large diameter' set just to get these two bolts off....

I just didi my rears, and I believe it was a 9/16's eight point that I used, half-inch drive. I know it's really a metric size but that seemed to work. Let us know how you make out.

i know its bigger than 18mm because thats the biggest i have and it wouldnt fit...

You don't need to take the whole caliper off the axle, just the part that contains the pads. The bolts are on the inboard side, & have a little rubber cover under the head......

the two bolts with 'dust covers' on them?? on the back outside of the caliper? on other vehicles i have worked on you had to remove the entire caliper. those were just there to help you loosen the pistonOriginally Posted by Ldub
