Squirrel had a nasty abdominal wound + daughter (the one in the pic) works at a vet + State laws = squirrel had to find a new home.

Ash actually visited him a few times & he fully recovered and was released to the wild (of course he still hangs around the reserve - he's just not caged).

Glad to hear that...I thought maybe your home owners assn. had "squirrel nazis" among it's membership......
