Door handle Mod-Prolly not a good idea

I was thinking how every once in a while your hand slips off the door handle when you try to open it. I know some people have used the grip tape under the handle with success, but I was wanting a better solution. So I thought has any one tried to put a cabinet drawer pull on their door handle ? Like this:Attachment 1190

So using a cordless drill and metal bit like this:Attachment 1193

I drilled a couple of holes in the door handle like this:Attachment 1191

Then attached the cabinet pull like this:Attachment 1192

Not bad huh? I used the silver pulls from Home Depot, $2.39 each.
Wife say's she thinks it looks funny but it's practical.

+1 - I'll withold the official cry of blasphemy until I've seen the pics. But mounting cabinet hardware on your automobile may be difficult to recover from even if the pics aren't bad.

This is a joke right? Even if I had to use my pinky to open the door I would still never think about seriously doing this one, this cannot be serious.

I remember a certain someone on the forum who had a rope instead of an inside door handle. This ain't much worse.

Think of all the great uses that handlee will have in the future as well:

You can hang the transmission fluid bottle from there when you're servicing your tranny.

If you're on a long road trip, you can hang your laundry from there to dry.

You could integrate a can holder so you don't spill your beer inside the VX.

    The possibilities are endless.

It WOULD make a nice towel rack.

Perhaps we are being quick to judge. Let us see a "zoomed out" picture so we can be more comfortable judging you.

Heck....maybe the next step is curtains around the windows instead of tinting......maybe a white picket fence around the bottom......

    I kid...I kid....

Keep thinking outside the box. I know that's what EVERYONE here does and we have had some real great ideas surface because of it.

LOL...some ideas deserve to stay INSIDE the box...

Now I'm thinking of custom cut mini blinds all around...
