    RC Rock Crawlers

Anyone got one?? I've been looking around for one of these, look like fun!!!! Some are damn expensive though. No idea what one to go for but i prefer the 'scaler' models to the all out rock crawlers. THis one is on ebay and its awesome but a bit too expensive

These are reaslonable and a bit smaller for indoor use

Nope, sorry Crotchrocket-- we gave up those toys when we got a real driver's license and a real VX. Leave those RC-toys to the kids. If you become a Father one day; then yes, it might be a good way to "bond" with your son. Until that happens, leave 'em.

Aw, come back out "crotchcrocket" you've got a big boy's toy to play with (remember evryone, family friendly now ). Besides save your money for the move to America and the steering wheel correction mod.
Oh and we don't eat carp over here, so you can have all you want.
So I said to myself, I said "Handee"
and this voice came back and said..
"He's not in, may we take a message?"

remember, the only difference between a boy and a man is the size and cost of his toys And just last week I saw two grown men playing with one of those on the top of a rock retainer wall at the mall, looked like a blast, wanted to park my bus and check it out.
Greetings, Earthling. We come in peace... Never mind "Paris to Dakar", the VehiCROSS looks ready for the Martian desert.

I had a 4 wheel drive/steer 5 horse power RC truck called a CEN Nemesis, it was awesome, but that is the quickest way to flush money down the toilet in my opinion. "Oh I will just get a couple of parts for it here and there", and soon you realize that you have bought 50 parts at $20 each and you are out $1000 just on maintenance, and upgrades, I would rather buy some new tires for the VX, just my personal experience

Might find some usefull info/reading here. Some of these guys have some crazy set ups...functioning winches, front and rear selectable lockers, multi speed transfer cases... Just like the real thing...only smaller! They also have competitions where they set up courses and score them just like the "big" comps.

Mr. Rocket - I have 4 crawlers. (You'll probably need to open an account on rccrawler.com to view most of these pics...)
1 - 1.9 VX 1/10 scale hard body TLT-1 (Work in progress because the guy who sold me the VX body lied about it's dimensions. I started an exo-cage and then moved on to my 2.2 crawler. No pics yet.)
2 - 2.2 HPI Wheely King tuber of my own design using 3/16" brake line as the cage - Works pretty well for a scaler actually!
3 - 3.2 Kyosho Mad Force (Rock N' Rat Rod) (Using a drill motor with a 2-speed planetary trans switched by a servo. Also work in progress.)
4 - 40-Series CEN Nemesis Super Class (all aluminum with a wacky gizmoiness concept - stopped when I went over $1000 in parts.)

Here is the craziest crawler I think I have ever seen: Intense

rccrawler.com is the big site - but there are others to peruse. We have two local sites here in Utah. There are some UK sites I believe as well. Check out these vendors:

The best bang for the buck, IMO, is the Venom Creeper

Holy Cow, the hobby of RC-Toys can get frickin' outa-hand really quick!!! Just like Little Beast said-- a damn money pit to throw away wasted money. As a grown man, I've got better things to spend my money on. No thanx.
