...The file on my comp is a 501 kb 24"x36" jpeg - I don't know why it scales it down here tho.

'cuz I have it set that way. Most large format photos carry a large file size as well (Several mb) so the system resizes to keep the file size down and to keep the scrolling complaints to a minumum..

I can do Ldub's idea and put it (The large original) elsewhere
