i actually have always thought that a VX with snow-trax would be amazing...

i talked to a guy about em one time, until i heard the price-tag, then i stopped dreaming

I love it, would be something on a VX, but I bet it would take factory money to actually pull it off. Plus I don't need the sno-cat stuff here in Florida unless we switch to Global Cooling. I haven't even been able to afford Moab yet and you guys want me to imagine a sno-cat VX. Oh well it's nice to dream.....
So I said to myself, I said "Handee"

Way cool video. I get a feeling the Trax don't like bare pavement, because of the way he slowed way down on the bare pavement portion and in garage. Like CrotchRocket mentioned, I too was amazed of how they handled the sideways torque in the corners without derailing. Still; on a 100% snowy environment, it would be fun (until you hit a snow-covered hidden tree stump; ouch). Although, it looks very expensive $$$$$.

Ken Block never fails to amuse me. Kinda cool seeing what the trax would look like on my STi though.

I'm sure that there are other manufacturers, but I think Mattracks has been around for a while. I have no idea how they keep the tracks from spinning around, but they've apparently worked it all out.

If you notice they don't list prices anywhere. I guess it's the old saying: If you have to ask you can't afford it." I've heard estimates that go from $10k to $14k a set.

and they have additional support bars that go to the bottom 2 sides of the triangle to keep them down....with their own suspension.
