    cluster cracked

Has anyone else had this problem? I got in my vx the other day and I noticed a small crack in the clear plastic covering the gauges. The same thing happened to my axiom. Guess I will have to get a new cluster. Anyone know if just the plastic cover is replaceable? Thanks

I don't know, but my guess would be no. I would think, if you took it up with a parts department at a dealer, you would have to replace the entire cluster.

You may want to check with salvage yards that have '97 Rodeos or even a VX and ask about just the plastic cover.

Lightbulb Never had it happen, but...

Unlike the windows, which need to be replaced if cracked to maintain structural integrity of the vehicle, the cluster cover is purely cosmetic, you don't HAVE to replace it, but doing so will keep your VX pristine.

Do not buy the cluster from a dealer... they are $734! I kid you not... I about died of shock.
