depends on the size of your tires and rims.
I would say that it might be close.
You may have to put some rims in the front seat.
With the seats folded up, I did fit 4 - 255/60R18 tires in the back of mine.
ask "etlsport" he's a master at getting the most tires in a VX.....works at a Sears tire shop too.

Remember that life is not measured in the breaths you take, but rather in the moments that take your breath away.
I say yes, with some careful placement. Or just pull the back seats out for the trip. Four bolts and its free.

They are 245/65-16, so doesn't look like will be a problem and since I am flying down and picking up car will be hard to leave the seat there, haha, don't think I want to make another 16 hr trip there and back to pick up the seat, know what I'm saying
If it has a roof rack maybe you could strap one to the roof to make room?
My VX was shipped with 4 stock rims/tires + the spare + back seat stuffed in the back. IIRC the back seat was not mounted but I think it'll fit if you just fold & tumble it.

Put a smiley after you say that Bub.
I don't know about you guys, but if I fold the rear seat forward I can barely fit behind the wheel. The driver's seat just won't go back far enough. Pretty frustrating for short drives, a long one (drive) would really suck.
That said, you should be able to lay the seats down flat and stack a couple wheels/tires on top, perhaps on a blanket to protect the seats from damage. Then put another behind the seat and another in the passenger seat. Surely they'll go...
If the tires are on the rims yes. I fit 4 , 2" larger terra grapplers in the back with seat folded up. shawn

When I put new rims and tires on mine, I couldn't get the 18" stock rims with 265/60R18s in the back. I had to put one in the front seat.
With your 16's you might be able to lay them down and stack them two high. The 18s wouldn't fit that way.

Yeah. You can do it with the back seat flipped up. I did four studded Nokia Hakapilitas with rims no prob. But, and this is important---make sure those tires and rims are bagged up in plastic. If you don't, they may scratch that plastic interior.
Studded Hakkapeliittas on a VX eh? After seeing how well mine did on bald Terra Grapplers this winter I'd bet you're pretty close to unstoppable.
I'd love to have a set of those in the narrowest size that will fit our rims - but I don't love the price. Nokian is proud of their tires - $90 for a studded BICYCLE tire! What up with that?
Have you ever tried the Hakkapeliittas without studs?
OK that's my thread jack for the night. Hey it sounds like the issue is settled anyway so cut me some slack, alright?
The "secret" to loading multiple tires in the back of the VX cargo area is to have them standing upright side-by-side in the "vertical" load condition. With the rear seat in normal upright position (not folded), you should be able to "vertically" carry 3 tires easily in the back cargo area side-by-side, with the 4th tire placed within the rear seat itself. Both front seats will remain empty for people.
Laying the tires flat in the rear cargo area totally eats-up too much valuable space; so always haul multiple tires in the upright "vertical" position. Wedge some pillows/blankets amongst the cargo so they don't shift around during transport or in case if you have to slam on the brakes for traffic. Once you try this loading method, you'll be a true believer and amazed at how many tires can fit in a VX and still haul 2 people in the front seats!!!
