I saw PCD's ad for a VX performance chip. Supposed to increase mileage by 3-4 mpg and boost H.P. by 50hp. Anyone know anything about it?

Sorry, I think I found my own answer. I guess the PCD 'chip' is a scam.
Check out www.RipOffReport.com and type in "perfromance chips direct" in the search box.

Good thing you figured it out. In summary, All it is is a resistor that costs $1 or 2 spliced in maf/map sensor wiring which fools the ecu making the engine run lean (less fuel more air). This is very dangerous without iginition timing adjustment, you run the risk of detonation ("ping-ing") which ultimately will result in a blown engine.
