A/C compressor fan

While driving and with the a/c on, the fan will kick on for about 6 to 7 seconds, then kick off for about 10 seconds. The a/c blows cold and the blower motor isnt effected at all. It does this cosistantly. Does anyone else have this? Is it an issue?

I'm not sure if I'm picking up what you are describing, but it is normal for the A/C compressor to cycle on/off during operation.

Is that what you meant?

Well...this is where I get lost a bit. I am talking about the fan that is attached to the front side of the radiator which I believe is the a/c compressor fan.

I don't have a fan on the front of my VX, maybe a previous owner put this in ??

All US versions I've seen, have an aux elec fan in front (R side / driver side UK) of the rad that cycles on & off when the AC is on...

hmmmm interesting! i just have the thermo cupling fan thats run of the engine !
