    Front mount intercooler mounted on the VX

    Check this out

    So it turns out the MOONCRAFT VX is not only turboed but intercooled as well!!!

    For NEVER BEFORE seen pics of the MOONCRAFT VX, go here:

    Nice pics for reference to see what your plumbing options are if anyone ever decides to go this route.

    In the shots in this thread you can see how much ground clearence they gave up. Unacceptable in my opinion.

    This has to be the most rediculous poorly engineered turbo installation I have ever seen. A shining chrome plated example of how NOT to do something.

    Thumbs up

    Here's what you need: The new DI engine from the '04 Axiom + Supercharger = Economy & Power.

    I'm sure a factory crate engine from Isuzu would cost less than that plumbing nightmare from Mooncraft!

    Did he ever sell that thing? I remember he was talking about selling it, and possibly creating that ground effect kit for like $5k US.

    And I must agree, that getting a crate engine with a supercharger is MUCH less a headache than that intercooler gerbil maze. As cool as it looks, it's a shame that you are forced to have that ground effect kit just so hide it all. ;eekr;

    The point of my posting this thread was to show that :

    A) Unbenounced to me, the MOONCRAFT VX was actually Intercooled as well

    &

    B) There are new photos of it that "I" have never seen before and to share them with you all.

    It had nothing to do with power output, the mounting locations and so on.

    Oh well
