    Question Headlight Gaskets- Critical?

The headlight gaskets were not present on my VX when I bought it, should I bother to glue some on? What do they really do?

There is a strip of black foam on each scallop of the hood (inside) around the lights, is that factory?

I really don't see a whole lot of purpose to them other than keeping some road crud out or possibly reducing wind noise?

The headlight assembly's are sealed already.

The foam rubber strips are factory.
