So you want to sell the VX and buy a Sportster and an Amigo? I'd keep the VX and save for the Sportster. But that's just me. Either way, good luck! I like the Amigo too, and it's still an Isuzu so either way your still doing alright
Fun little rides but they are going for less than $4000 just be patient
OH, this is fun....I wanna play....
A couple of years ago I was looking to get a daily driver so the VX could become the garage queen that I always wanted her to be. I too was looking at one of these
because it's basically a VX with a different skin. I figured that I would still be able to hang out with The Fam, but I would have to be at the back of the line while wheelin'. Instead of buying an Amigo I ended up having this
built and I haven't regreted it for a second.
If you do end up selling this
to get this
just realize that there are some other things that you will need to invest in such as this
this
this
this
and this
I know Gill rides so you may already have some of the afore mentioned items, but eventually you will need to get one of these
and last but not least you will DEFINITELY need to get one of these
On a sort of serious note; you may want to try and find an Amigo/ Rodeo Sport with a removable hard top as the soft top may be cold, and may get chewed up, in those Chicago winters. The Harley would definitely be fun, and you, Gill and I would need to find time to ride together. If you could swing it having the VX AND the Harley would be the way to go (for me), but either way I'm sure you'll have a great time.

Those Helmets look like they should be worn by Kaiser owners.
I had one of these in PA. The soft top was fine for the winter the heater wors great. A friend put a plastic see thru curtain in his to get it to heat up quicker. The only caveat put the top on before it gets cold it shrinks and does not go on easy in the cold. BTW the 4cyl is a light weight and will slow down going up hills. I drove mine across the county twice as well as up and down the country 2x.
A few mods to the Amigo and you can have this...
A few more mods and it turns to this...

Well, my plans were foiled again! the guy decided to sell it to a woman in Cali for $100 more than I was offering and he had to spend that much to get the AC recharged and take time off work for the truck to pick it up for shipping. He's dumb! It wasn't meant to be...
Still frustrated with the VX. I am waiting on a backordered driveshaft that ran me about $650 plus $240 in labor... It won't be in until right before I leave for Cali if I'm lucky. After already spending this much on the same problem a few months back I sure hope that this is the problem... Otherwise I am going to have a heart attack due to increased frustrations.
Cross your fingers for me folks...
On another note... I already have the gear for riding a motorcycle... I just need the bike and I fit perfectly on the Sportster 48! No tattoos for me... I'm a chicken.
It's just a matter of taking the riders course and coming up with another $5k! And if the VX keeps eating into my funds for the 48 I might never get it!!!
Have a good night everyone...
With enough of LDubs concocsions that fear will go right away!No tattoos for me... I'm a chicken.
Cece....HERE is another really nice Amigo you might be interested in!
