Eric that's brilliant!! And the stereo remote too! Just tried it, both fit!!!
Done! Thanks for ideas...as I've proven over and over, I obviously have no creativity in this arena, so thanks!

Remember that life is not measured in the breaths you take, but rather in the moments that take your breath away.
Very nice installation!!! Looks OEM!
So not to threadjack...just since you have more headliner exp than I. I am looking to mount my rear view mirror up higher, and preferably in the beginning of the headliner. I moved mine up from the stock position but the sun visors hit it everytime you pull them down. Not an issue for me but thats is not the case for my wife. Do you think it is feasible to somehow with magnets attach one to the base of the mirror and the other to the roof under the headliner?
j, you could do that, the beam that i was talking about having to work around goes all the way to the base of the windshield though, and there is a space above it
i bet you could find a clip or a clamp of some kind to clip to the front edge of that, just remove your visors and the mounts for them and pull the front edge of the headliner down, you will see what im talking about, you may even be able to screw into that beam with 1-2 small screws (But it is structural, so id be a little weary of it, but hey, i considered cutting mine for a minute, so who knows
if you are loooking for a project, take a look at ldubs gallery, the overhead console he has extends all the way to the front between the mirrors, id bet you could find a mirror from a honda or something that normally mounts to the roof and find a way to hang it from that console
You could even use some old chevy/ford mirrors from a resto catalog, they mounted to the roof as well
Hey thanks I try to get around to it after finals week
