If someone WERE to make one of these, keep in mind it has to be a little flexible. I didn't realize this until I had mine included in the LineX spraying. It doesn't have to flex much, but it does just a little to make it work

You might have some luck repairing that piece with Apoxie.
You actually use it as a clay to reshape the broken pieces then it turns to an epoxy-plastic after curing.
Then after a good cleaning, paint, & primer, use a matte UV Clearcoat.
That's the best I got.

I have one thats never been used and has been stored since I bought the vx new. What are they worth?
Thanks Steve
no idea... if i could get one in great shape for around $20 i would consider that reasonable, but for much more than that i will just put a license plate on the front or repair the old one
its almost like its rotting - like heat has got to it and its lost its integrity and started to crack - when i took it off to check it out the rubber screw hole ripped out so i glued a washer on the back to be able to screw it back on the car, but i dont like knowing its jimmy rigged so id like a better solution
if i did try to redo the one i have i would most likely have to fill in the cracks then cover the entire delete with something to keep moisture/heat from making this happen again... vinyl wrap? prob wouldnt match the cladding
They usually sell for $40 - $60 used. I sold mine last month for $50, in excellent shape as I bought it new about 4 yrs ago.
Check with Phil at St. Charles. PLACE AN ORDER for anything you want!
Remember my experience with the interior door handles about 3 months ago? Phil said it would be 8-10 months, "maybe" but he didn't expect it to ever actually come....and I got them in 3 weeks.
And now cobrajet's story too.
You've got nothing to lose!
