Northern Arizona Super Mini meet....2 VXs

circmand (Dave) and I met up today in Seligman, AZ for a super mini meet....of two....
Was a beautiful day with some endless blue skies, just perfect for a Sunday drive.

Dave's an original owner and his Proton looks great, he added new wheels last year, lookin' good

Mine was still wearing her Moab outfit...
Dave bought the cargo basket I got from Phantom, so that's why we met up....look for his Proton to be sportin' a basket soon.

We chatted for a while, then we climbed some rocks & sand for like 30 seconds...WOW!!
Dave said it was the most off road his Proton has ever seen....

    It was embarressing

to have te more sissy VX. VXKat has really outfitted her rig very nice. Of course she didnt have to out me on never going 4 wheelin. Just kidding Kat. I have never 4 wheeled but I do put it in 4 wheel for a minute or two every now and then and keep the parts lubed.

Thats not to say I did not use 4 wheel a lot when living in VT, PA, and CT

HaHa...so is mine including the dirt and dust. Have been to lazy to wash it and change my tires/wheels back over.

Circ...your VX is looking good. Though I am really suprised you haven't gotten it out on some of the MANY forrest service roads up there in the rim country...they are beautifull and have some great camping spots!

However, my lack of faith in my driving ability has kept me on pavement. Every time I pass Christmas tree pass on the way to or from Vegas I think about turning down and taking the long way. I also beleive camping is for people who can not appreciate a soft bed.

Your in luck...you can drive a sedan down those FS roads. Uncle Asa took his rental car back in there for one of our VX camping trips!

And tent camping only makes you appreciate that nice comfy matress that much more! Or you can be like me and buy a nice air matress for the tent!
