    Question Ironman Rodeo?

    Anybody ever seen one?

I was searching around that thing algore invented & found this...

"A revised Ironman Package ($2,790), also available on LS models, commemorates Isuzu's sponsorship of the Ironman Triathlon race. Offered only in Alpine White or Ebony Black, Ironman Rodeos are distinguished by Iron Gray Metallic lower body surfaces, overfenders, body side moldings and bumpers; with a lighter gray surround for the front bumper air intake. Other gray accents include gray heathered floor mats and gray tube side steps. Ironman Editions also pack the Intelligent Suspension Control system; four-way power driver's seat, cargo tray, privacy glass, and a sub-woofer."

    It was contained within: http://www.automotive.com/2001/12/is...ews/index.html

    I had no idea...

Yeah I saw that on the Amigo/Rodeo Sport Wikipedia page a few months ago... I have an AutoTrader search set-up to look for one, but haven't seen one yet. Apparently they are considerably more rare than even the VX.

More details from the Wikipedia page:

"For serious off road capability, Isuzu offered the Ironman Edition Amigo which came standard with a DANA 44 rear end, Intelligent Suspension control (ISC), limited-slip differential, larger tires than the LS model, and adjustable shocks for off road. These are the rarest of Amigos, Isuzu only producing about 288 in 2000, 187 in 2001. (Isuzu did produce Ironman Rodeos and Axioms during those years as well)"

    2000 Izuzu Rodeo - $800

    2000 Isuzu Amigo $1500

I don't think that Amigo is really an Ironman... why would Isuzu manufacture an Amigo with "DANA 44 rear end, Intelligent Suspension control (ISC), limited-slip differential, larger tires than the LS model, and adjustable shocks for off road" but only 2WD?

Isuzu had IM editions of the VX (as we know), rodeo and amigo...saw them all lined up shiney and pretty at Ironman California's expo back in '99! Isuzu was the title sponsor for North American Ironman events in '99 and '00.
Now you can add Ford Ironman editions to your fleet...they are the newest title sponsor

Then again you have to question the accuracy of the Wiki page as well, since it mentions that Ironman Axioms were also available in 2000 and 2001.

The Axiom's first year was 2002.
