Silicone Radiator Hoses - can we make a bit of a group buy?

    Folks,

I've got a slightly weepy lower rad hose (it may be to do with being shaken about a bit in France) and it has accelerated my thoughts about changing the hoses for Samco or Samco-style ones.

So... I was wondering if any of you guys would be interested in buying a set at the same time. If I know a couple of folk are interested I can get some prices together as I have a set of spare standard hoses on their way.

Oh, think about colour too - I'm assuming red as it'll match the tops of the coils...

    Anyhoo, let me know.

    Cheers,

    Alan

Do a search...there is a member on here from Arizona that has a shop ans sales several colors of silicone rad hoses for the VX. Several members have bought them. I am sure he would ship a set over the pond.

I just installed a set of these on my Patrol. They run about $30 a set and are stainless steel. You may or may not need two sets for the VX. On the Patrol, I was able to cut the 24" long tube and make two hoses with room to spare. They have red, blue, chrome and black. Just a good alternative to silicone hoses since you can bend them any shape and stainless is impervious to just about anything out there.

Cheers folks - I'll look into both of those options.

Even if I can gently nudge a couple of UK people into wanting the hoses then we can save shipping by having them sent at once. I'm meeting Alterastro about "non-Vehicross" stuff on Thursday so will mention it then...

    Cheers,

    Alan

Okay. I haven't has a chance to do anything about this yet, but my spare set of standard hoses has arrived so I can start sending out some decent measurements now.

There are loads of providors of this sort of thing around me as about half the F1 grid is built within a 45 mile radius of here!

    PICS of applications???

I like the idea of silicone hoses and i like the appearance of the aluminum too. I'm ready to change out my serpentine belt soon and will flush the cooling system so it would be good time to replace all hoses.
Any PICS out there of either variation on actual VX applications?????

    Thumbs up

They are great hoses, and a completely 100% OEM fit, all the bends are perfect, and as you can tell they hold up well when off-roading
