Well, I have never actually driven a Boxster, but I did take a "test ride" in one. I admit, the shifting seemed pretty spirited. I could make an exception for that one, I think. The real performance cars probably have done a decent job designing an automatic transmission. And even I will admit there are days in freeway traffic when that shifting gets old.

We had the paddle shifters in hubby's BMW M3..."spirited" shifting/driving is an understatement... .....
I had an Audi S4 6 spd, twin turbo....Dave still beat me..he had more horses and those wicked quick paddle shifts .....man those were some fun rides!
