I am familiar with that model TLC and in past dreams pictured a VX body swapped onto its (cut to fit) chassis. Still think that would be pretty awesome!
Otherwise, I have no suggestions - I have fought with diesels and am fed up with them so I can't recommend any CRD option. I see why you would be keeping an eye on the Scorpio now tho, thanks.

It's funky and I don't know if I like it. It could be one of those models that you really can't gauge till you see one in person. So far tho, I think it would fail here.
