That sucks but it looks like the damage is minimal. Most important is you were not hurt. It could have been a lot worse...it could have been 3 weeks before you were suppose to leave for Moab and undriveable

Oh yea, make sure to have the repair shop save all the old parts for you...never know when they may come in handy.

Thanks for the comments, could have been worse, somehow i managed to get on the horn whilst braking which minimised the damage too

When the van hit you and "pushed you sideways" it must have put some pressure on the CV binding it up and causing it to fail....right?

Just remember it made no klanking noise before the accident.
