Wow, lots of Subie love here. I won't complain with that.
Speaking of the WRX, the 2011 is rolling out starting next month and it's styling has changed. Widebody is back on it and it is based at 265hp, and of course, AWD standard. Right up your alley and is a good fit next to a VX.

I would recommend the STi, but it is a tad bit more than $25'ish. I have an '09 STi hatch and LOVE it to death. GREAT in snow too.... I can vouch for that after this passed Mid-Atlantic snowpocolypse.
And the sky's the limit if you like to "tweak". Naw'mean.

Yeah! You can read all about it right here.

The other problem with the Evoque (besides the estimated $40K+ price tag) is that it isn't supposed to go on sale for a year or so.
Since I own a Nissan Z, to me, the Juke is like an all purpose version... At least the Juke can be driven in the winter in those such climates.

Here you go Cece...
something interesting... I can get in and out of the Z easier than the VX. I've had to learn to get my upper body in first, then bring legs. (almost as if I'm crawling in) Seems the opening to the VX is small from the seat to the roof line.
I'm thinkin' the Juke will sit more like the Z (only not quite as low)
You know the VX and Juke really are similar, as the chart shows they have almost identical dimensions (though the Juke was clearly designed with backseat passengers in mind). The other thing is styling philosophy. If you look at pictures of both the Juke and VX, I think most people would agree that the side and rear profiles of the vehicles are pretty handsome. But in both cases it's really the front grill/headlights/bumper that are the most polarizing. In my case I like the VX front, but don't really care for the Juke's.
Just my $.02.
