Exclamation Nissan set to annouce convertible Murano at LA Auto Show... as a 2-Door

Don't know if you guys have seen this yet, but should be pretty interesting. Looks like it will have a beefier version of the CVT/AWD combo that will be in the juke. A softer, lighter, more family-friendly version of the VX-02 perhaps?

I definitely agree that the picture I attached looks like a PT cruiser, but keep in mind that it's only an artist rendering, and it wasn't created by Nissan designers but by auto journalists. The real design has only been seen by the select group of dealerships who were invited to the private unveiling in Vegas, so no one else really knows what the final version will look like.

Yeah, not doing it for me. That new Acura crossover is kinda slick looking though. Saw one the other day.

I think it's interesting, too. I saw that photo last week and was holding off on saying "I don't like it" until I saw some other views (didn't know that was a photoshop.) To me the fastest way to make a convertible look bad is to take a straightedge and a sawz-all and start cutting metal. I like the MINI, PT Cruiser and Mustang (2005-2009), but I think their convertible versions are hideous due to that long, boring straight line. Reminds me too much of a "VW Thing."

Naw, the Acura is a rebadged Honda Crosstour. Not big on the Murano convertible (something weird about a convertible SUV), but I DO like the BMW X6....rowwwrrrr.

Ain't nuthin' wrong with the VW Thing because it looks right from one end to the other because it's all straight lines. Put that same rear half on something curvy... I don't like it.

Gotta cut the Murano a little slack. It has the same original designer as the VX.

Noone is perfect all the time. Looks a little like the VX if you remove the cladding and ridges and substitute flat sheet metal

That photochop looks like a VW cabriolet. Not too sexy.
But I would be all over a 2-door nissan rogue.
