I only count about 19 VX's in that list though Dub. But as usual I am sure some will show that aren't on the list and some that are won't show...we will just have to wait and see.
I arrive on Sat the 14th!
Also we have had no discussion of the VX run trail choice (new post started)...trust me, most don't want me to pick it, we may not make it back!

Scott, Ouray IS beautiful. If you have a chance I would definitely stop for a few hours, if not the night, to take everything in (there is a clothing optional natural hot sping there - Orvis). The drive from Durango to Ouray over the "Million Dollar Highway" is unbelievable. Just make sure that you stop to check out the views because if you take your eyes off of the road for a second you could end up at the bottom of a VERY deep canyon.

    Good route choice.

The drive over the million dollar highway is really fun in january with snow.

    The giant metropolis of Ouray

Btw, if any body remembers C.W. McCall (did the songs Convoy, Wolf Creek Pass, etc.), he was the mayor of Ouray for a while.

Awesome place. Dave and I always try to go through Ouray, and have stayed there a few times. Had one of the best steaks in my life there at the Outlaw restaurant! Was so awesome we went back a few yrs later! Colorado beef Would love to go through in winter on that highway...note to self...take a bottle of rolaids.....

Scott, I took the Ouray detour last year. DO IT! The scenery is spectacular and the road is a blast to drive on. I may take the detour again this year.

Scott a convoy sounds great. As of now, I plan to leave on Friday the 13th . If all goes well I'll be in Durango,CO sometime Saturday... I plan to sleep until Sunday . Then off to Moab after breakfast.

Anyone up for a convoy through north Texas ?
