    Frequently used spare parts?

    Hi again,

I am AJ and I am new to VX family. Still waiting for an auto transport to pick up the VX so it's not official yet.

Anyways, I just want to know what are the frequently used spare parts I should have so that I don't have to scramble for them when I need them? Other than the usual brakes pads and tires?

List will be great! thanks again.

    AJ

Probably the first thing you'll want to do is to check to see if the window brackets have been replaced with the metal one's available from SBC. Since he sold his VX, I'm not sure how much longer he'll be making them.

You can use the search function on "window fix" to find lotsa reading on the subject.

& keep a shop towel handy to check your oil at every fueling.

KAT posted a list for people selling their VX that should give you some insight to the more common problems. If someone doesn't beat me to it, I'll post a link to it when I get a chance.

Yeah, I saw that list KAT wrote. I will go through it again and get an idea.

I am also wondering, I know the VX shares some parts with the troopers and the rodeo but not sure which ones. It will be great if someone can confirm which one? thanks.

The dash is from a ~'95-'97 Rodeo, so ya can easily find those parts. Lots of the drivetrain, brakes, and suspension parts are shared with the Rodeo and Trooper, '98+.

Mark, where do you come up with this stuff!? I've never seen that diagram before, but it's incredibly helpful. Is this all in the manual and I just haven't read through the whole thing yet?

That comes from an Isuzu dealer document, Intro to '99 Isuzu Vehicles. I posted it here for all to enjoy a while back.

I don't have an inside connection at a dealer or anything like that. I lifted it off the internet.
I have internet search skills like you wouldn't believe.

So, it sounds like you have the VX in your possession now, so let's have all the details. Year, color, miles, condition, where'd ya get it from, pics, how much ya pay? Give it up, man. We wanna know!
