Helping a fellow VX'er, lift and 34x10.50 LTB install

Well my friend Dustin came by today with his recently acquired 01' Ebony VX. If any of you recall, Dustin is the guy who I ran into at my work as he was leaving a note on my VX, he had just recent;y found out about them, and really wanted one. Him and his wife sat in it and looked it over and then they found this Ebony up in Michigan. K, so now your caught up on the backstory, , he was wanting to lift it so he ordered some OME 919 springs, and we started looking for some tires for him. I found some 34x10.50-15 Super Swamper LTB's on craigslist. After a few phone calls, the person decided they just wanted to get rid of the whole truck so we decided to go in on it together, he would take the wheels/tires and I would keep the truck to either part, sell, or keep. I have to say, Dustin is one lucky SOB, these tires/rims fit PERFECTLY on his VX, after jacking up the front end, I took it for a drive and it BARELY rubbed with NO trimming coming off some big bumps and ditches while turning (I tried hard too). So we brought it back to the house, I did a little trimming and banging for extra insurance and no rubbing what-so-ever! I trimmed more for my 33's lol, goes to show offset is everything! Also nice that the tires are pretty much brand spanking new. Well enough talking, here are the pics:

This is the "Monstero" (I came up with it myself lol) that we took the rims/tires off of:

Just to get a look at it:

We're gonna be testing it out tomorrow over at Mobile Swamp so expect a few action pics of the VX's together

Very nice, the ZU guys refer to those tires as wagon wheels or pizza cutters A VERY popular tire on the zus and mitsus.

I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.

Ya I think they turned out great too. Ya I've heard them called that for a long time, I'd say the 34x9.50's are more pizza cutter/wagon wheel than these haha. I've been wanting the 34" LTB's for a long time, was gonna run them on my ol' Rodeo. I've ran the 33x13.50 versions before

We used to have a white Monstero too. I really liked it all in all. It got my girl thru a really rough winter then we traded it for a 300zx as soon as the sun was out again. But its just like the Trooper. Thats a great deal you guys worked out. I was thinking something like that myself. Grab the rubber for my VX and then sell the rig again with my current rubber on it.
