I believe the fronts are 5 1/2" and the rears are 4"

I got 6 1/2" in the doors with a little trimming on the plastic trim ring for the added depth.

Just went through all of this on my VX. Sizes are weird but can be remedied. Rge front speakers are 5", rear are 4", and tweets, well.... easy enough to figure out. Thing is, there is no 5" replacement. The best you can do it a 5 1/4". I went with 5 1/4" and they are perfect. Had to shave a little off the rear speaker mounts because of magnet size, but that wont hamper anything.

    Good luck.

    Question

I think the front speakers are round. But, are the rear speakers round or oval? Dumb question but someone humor me

    Front speakers

I had 6.5" Focal 136 V polyglass placed in the doors. My personal belief is that the rear speakers will only decrease the quality of the sound unless you do some modification! The separate tweeters exit the front pillars. I had the stock tweeters disconnected!!! A rear sub is a must in order to get the full bodies sound from your music (I'm not a bass head).

actual measurement listed by the factory is 5 3/8" for the focal midbase speaker. I believe that includes only the speaker and not the mounting bracket.

you know if you go to www.crutchfield.com, they have a list of the size speakers you need, plus they will list models they know are an exact fit.
