    New dome light

Well, my retractable dome light came in today. I have been waiting a while for this. It came out of an old Suburban. It is a manual rewind style with about 25ft of cord. That means it can reach pretty much anywhere on the truck as a work light. I need to add a magnetic base and then I will be good to go. Next project is the inclinometer. I know this light isn't the most cosmetically friendly, but function over form for me any day. Took less than 5 minutes to install, two butt connectors and three sheet metal screws and voila.

I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.

Nice Chris! I still have to put mine in the rear cargo area. It's just sitting on my work bench. I too need the magnetic base. Looks nice. You going to swap the bulb out for an LED version?

    Yep, or perhaps a halogen.

Halogens get pretty hot, I'd be worried about it melting the clear plastic cover.
